The voxel size of a density map represents the physical size of each voxel in the three-dimensional map, typically measured in Ångströms (Å), describing the sampling interval in real space. The origin voxel size of the map can be found in the EMDB database.

By default, the voxel size is set to 2, but users can adjust it by entering a different value in the input box. If the user inputs 0, the voxel size will be set to the origin voxel size of the density map. As illustrated in the figure, search for the specific density map on the EMDB website, click on the Validation tab, and then check the Map parameters section, where the origin voxel size is provided.

NOTE:In the DEMO-EMol program, a larger voxel size can reduce the runtime but potentially decrease the accuracy. Conversely, a smaller voxel size ensure high precision but increases runtime. Please note that the minimum voxel size supported by DEMO-EMol is 1, and the maximum is 5.
