On September 24, 2025, Prof. Xiaogen Zhou was invited to present at the 2025 Asia Drug Design Conference in Hangzhou, China, on An automated platform for multi-domain protein structure and function prediction. Ph.D. student Ziying Zhang also received a poster award at the conference.

On April 30, 2025, the paper by Ziying Zhang and Liang Xu, DEMO-EMol: modeling protein-nucleic acid complex structures from cryo-EM maps by coupling chain assembly with map segmentation, was accepted by Nucleic Acids Research.

On March 13, 2025, the paper by Yaxian Cai and Ziying Zhang, Fitting atomic structures into cryo-EM maps by coupling deep learning-enhanced map processing with global-local optimization, was accepted by Journal of Chemical Information and Modeling.

On November 23, 2024, Prof. Xiaogen Zhou organized the 2nd Youth Forum on Frontiers of Artificial Intelligence and Bioinformatics, focusing on advances in molecular structure prediction and multi-omics data mining.

On March 13, 2025, the paper by Ziying Zhang and Yaxian Cai, DEMO-EM2: Assembling protein complex structures from cryo-EM maps through intertwined chain and domain fitting, was accepted by Briefings in Bioinformatics.

On November 8, 2023, Prof. Xiaogen Zhou was selected for a national high-level young talent program.

On September 6, 2023, Prof. Xiaogen Zhou was invited to give a PSI online seminar on progressive modeling of multi-domain protein structures and domain-to-chain level function prediction.

On December 4, 2022, Guijun Zhang, Xiaogen Zhou, and Biao Zhang received a First Prize in Natural Science from the Zhejiang Bioinformatics Society.

On November 24, 2022, Guijun Zhang, Xiaogen Zhou, and Biao Zhang received a Second Prize in Natural Science from the Chinese Association of Automation.

On April 21, 2022, Prof. Xiaogen Zhou's paper DEMO2: Assemble multi-domain protein structures by coupling analogous template alignments with deep-learning inter-domain restraint prediction was accepted by Nucleic Acids Research.

On April 13, 2022, Prof. Xiaogen Zhou's paper I-TASSER-MTD: A deep-learning based platform for multi-domain protein structure and function prediction was accepted by Nature Protocols.

On April 13, 2022, Prof. Xiaogen Zhou's paper Progressive assembly of multi-domain protein structures from cryo-EM density maps was accepted by Nature Computational Science.

On February 18, 2022, Prof. Xiaogen Zhou received the Yunhe Young Scholar title and was appointed as a university-appointed professor at Zhejiang University of Technology.
